Technical Services

The IPRC has years of expertise in testing materials and systems, under various standards from various (ASTM, ISO, DIN, etc.), including the involvement in developing Israeli standards at the Standard Institute of Israel (SII). We provide more than the simple raw data of the test results; we first provide insight into which tests should be conducted and under what conditions in order to optimize the technical and financial outcome of the results. Additionally, when requested, we provide detailed reports containing interpretation and analyses of the obtained results including opinions and suggestions. We can help translate the results in to operational planning, including the importing of methodology to the client for in-house quality assurance. The state-of-the- art instrumentation which is calibrated by external qualified sources (according to ISO 9001-2008) and available at the IPRC and some of the analytical services are listed below

IPRC laboratories can identify unknown polymeric materials. Identification of plastics can be valuable to evaluate products, suppliers, raw materials, additives and deformulate competitive products.

IPRC laboratories have the expertise in multi-disciplinary failure investigation in order to provide analysis of plastic materials enabling solution for failure related problems.

The IPRC is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited to perform food/packaging compatibilization testing, including approved ingredients and overall migration, under Israeli Standard SI5113 which meets requirements of EC regulation 10/2011 and FDA/21 CFR including D2 simulant by 95% ethanol and isooctane . These tests are performed using various simulants (water, alcohols, acids, oils, etc.). Testing is available for plastics based packaging and for other materials such as paper and cardboard.

IPRC laboratories can provide expertise in modeling, process simulation and analysis services. Using simulation in early stages of design process allow the identification and correction of design drawbacks. Through flow analysis using dedicated software, processing parameters can be analyzed, tested and modified.

Technological support: IPRC's highly skilled staff can help to solve challenges in manufacturing environment, application development, raw material and additive selection, mold design, process optimization, and troubleshooting issues. IPRC facilities can provide integrated solution from research and development to compounding and processing (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, cast extrusion and thermoforming).
